No more heroes, just forgotten men,
A distant past, where bombs once fell,
No more heroes, just forgotten men.
Once decorated for glory, but that was then.
War veterans have all gone, don't shed a tear,
War is forgotten, now there's nothing to fear.
There is a story, but no one to tell.
For years people struggled and times were hard,
But we British soldiered on, with our ration card!
